Biography

Xinyan Lu received her B.S. in biology from Minzu University of China. She obtained her Ph.D in cellular biology under the supervision of Prof. Feng Liu in Institute of Zoology,University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. In her PhD research, she found out the miR-142a-3p is required for the hematopoietic stem cell development via inflammatorypathways in zebrafish. She is currently working as a research associate in University of Pittsburgh with Prof. Beth Roman to develop her further interest in the Alk1 regulation in the vascular development.
